Kiersty DeGroote

Kiersty DeGroote is a strong litigator and a fierce advocate for her clients. She brings a competitive spirit to her cases and fights vigorously to ensure her clients receive the best possible representation. Kiersty does not focus on any one type of case or client. She will advocate for all clients—whether they have a claim, are defending against a claim, or are hoping to avoid litigation altogether—with a sole focus on the clients’ best interests.

Kiersty prides herself on the attention to detail she applies to her matters while prioritizing the most efficient results for her clients.

During her tenure at Bochetto & Lentz, Kiersty has developed a strong reputation both in the firm and the Philadelphia legal community for her skills in the courtroom, deposing key witnesses, drafting motions, and conducting negotiations. Kiersty has led many jury trials to successful verdicts, as well as bench trials, arbitrations, and other resolution processes. She has trials under her belt in Philadelphia County, Bucks County, Montgomery County, federal courts, and beyond, with countless client matters settling before trial.

She is never hesitant to take a case all the way to trial. Her approach is straightforward, honest, and efficient. She prides herself on open, transparent, and collaborative relationships with her clients.

Kiersty has devoted extensive time to giving back to the legal community. She has served on the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Bar’s Young Lawyers Division for years and currently serves as its Chair for 2026. She is also a member of the Young Lawyers Board of the Legal Intelligencer and serves as an officer for the Justinian Society of Philadelphia.

She also frequently teaches continuing legal education courses across a broad range of topics from substantive law to civil procedure.

Kiersty has been recognized for her legal acumen through several awards. She was nominated to the “Top 10 Under 40” list by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys in 2026. She has also been nominated to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2024, 2025, and 2026. The list recognizes the best up-and-coming attorneys who are 40 years of age or younger or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive the Rising Stars designation.
